Illamasqua - Viridian

Oh, now THIS is something special.

Illamasqua's Viridian, from the Art of Darkness Collection.  This is a beautiful peacock green.  It glides on like a dream and you CAN get away with one coat if you're careful.  Absolutely. Adore.

When applying this, I did start to think of potential dupes.  Jump to see whether this little lovely can be replicated.

I compared this to Barry M's Racing Green and butter LONDON's British Racing Green.  Neither quite match Viridian.

The butter LONDON is very obviously different as it is, effectively, a cream with a hint of shimmer.

The Barry M is closer but it's a much darker green.  If I had to really define the difference, Viridian is like a natural emerald in the way it sparks off light, whilst Barry M is like a simulated emerald.  Both beautiful.  But very different.

Viridian was provided by the amazing Christabel of Makeup Mole. For more information on YGN's Disclosure Policy, please click here.
